Kids FUN RUN – Saturday, October 19

The Kids Fun Run will be held in Hersheypark Stadium on Saturday, October 19 at 5:15 PM. Children ages 2-13 are welcome to participate. The Fun Run is open only to children who are affiliated with a runner of the Hershey Half Marathon on Sunday. The Hershey’s Product Characters will be there to cheer our runners on!
The Fun Run is intended to be a fun event for children. No “winners” will be designated. Heats will be conducted in the following age categories with age- appropriate distance:
Ages 2 and 3 (30 yards)Ages 4 and 5 (45 yards)
Ages 6 and 7 (65 yards)
Ages 8 and 9 (90 yards)
Ages 10 and 11 (230 yards - on track)
Ages 12 and 13 (340 yards - on track)
The event is held on the track and field at Hersheypark Stadium. The race distances are dependent on the ages of the children. We’ll begin with the youngest runners with a short distance (approx. 30 meters) and will gradually increase the distance with each age group. The oldest runners will run approximately 300 meters.
Each participant will receive a Fun Run T-shirt and a sweet treat. (Note: T-shirts will only be provided to those who register by October 11.)
Children must be affiliated with a runner in the Half Marathon to participate. All registration will occur online. No day-of registrations will be provided. Fun Run registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Maximum number of Fun Run participants is 600. Last Year the Fun Run sold out – so register early!
