A special Hershey Half Marathon Package is now available at Hershey Resorts on October 15 or 16. Package includes guaranteed race registration (1 person), overnight at Hershey Resorts, personalized bib, timing device, race t-shirt, 4 complimentary Hersheypark In The Dark tickets (and the opportunity to purchase 2 additional discount tickets), Kids Fun Run entry (2 children) and race registration packet delivery to your hotel.

Race Details:
The course will take participants on a 13.1 mile tour of Hershey, PA with several memorable locations along the way including the World’s Largest Chocolate Factory, The Milton Hershey School, the world-famous Chocolate Avenue and more!
Participants can choose to run or walk the 13.1 mile race individually, or as part of a 2-person relay team. For those participating in the relay race, transportation will be provided to and from the half-way point. All participants must maintain a 14-minute mile pace.
Race Registration Fee:
Single: through Aug. 1 – $65, Aug. 2 – Oct. 13 – $75
Relay: through Aug. 1 – $100, Aug. 2- Oct. 13 – $110
No race-day registration
Hersheypark In The Dark:
Your registration fee includes 2 tickets to Hersheypark In The Dark.Your registration also entitles you to purchase up to 2 additional tickets at the discounted rate of $22. These may be purchased only through the race registration form at the time of registration. (Hersheypark in the Dark is open to the public. Regular-priced tickets are available online or at the front gate.)

NOTE: Hersheypark In The Dark is open on Friday, October 14, however, packet pickup for the race begins on Saturday, October 15. We are unable to accommodate early ticket/packet pick-up.
Spectator Information:
The race begins and ends at Hersheypark Stadium (located on the Hersheypark entertainment complex.) Spectators can view the race from various locations in Hershey including Chocolate Avenue, and Milton Hershey School.
Hershey’s Chocolate World is open daily in October at 9:00 AM. Closing times vary. Experience the FREE Hershey’s Great American Chocolate Tour ride, complete with your own sweet FREE Hershey’s sample.
Post-Race Massages:
The Spa At The Hotel Hershey will be offering complimentary post-race massages to runners on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Sunday Worship
The Hershey Half Marathon has teamed with Hershey area churches to offer non-denominational services to participants, family, & friends on the morning of the race. Services will be offered at 6:40am and 7:00am inside Hersheypark Stadium.
NEW WORKSHOP! Yoga for distance runners
Saturday, September 17, 2011 – 9:30 to 11:30 AM
***At Hershey Medical Center’s University Fitness Center, Hershey, PA***
This two-hour workshop is facilitated by B.J. McNeillie, who has been teaching yoga classes at the UFC for over ten years. It is inspired by one of B.J.’s long-time students, who very successfully completed the Rock ‘N’ Roll Half Marathon in Virginia Beach in 2010. We will cover:
1) Strengthening the Navel Center and Breathing from the Navel Center for increased stamina;
2) Digestion and Elimination Exercises to help with regular bowel movements;
3) “Bare Minimum,” “Better,” and “Even Better” Warm-ups for distance runs, to get energy moving so that first mile doesn’t feel like “slogging through molasses;” and
4) A very effective Cleansing Breath to minimize soreness after a long run.
NO PREVIOUS YOGA EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS WORKSHOP.
